At Kexxu we developed custom tracking markers.

Why did we develop them?

If you want to track a position on a screen with our OpenEye wearable eye tracker, the position of the head relative to the screen is constantly changing. Therefore you want the glasses to calculate its relative position to the screen in real-time.

To the left, you can see the usual ArCu markers (little blocks). They are plug-and-play with common computer vision libraries, but they were too slow to run on the wearable tracking glasses’ limited CPU power. Therefore we developed our own, color codes markers, which are faster to calculate. this way market detection went from 100ms to 8ms calculation time.
